Paris Michael's 2016 debut album, "Doves Don't Cry Anymore" reminds me of Will Smith's "Summer Time", but with hood flow. His lyrics are reminiscent of old school hip hop but the hooks reincarnate R&B's classic groove. His 2017 Sophomore album, "And Then We Grew Up", is more Kendrick Lamar "flee flow" style. There is no stabilizing hook to frame the story but it is an impressive follow up to the first. Put both in your summer play list!
